4d in Edinburgh – Tuesday

On Tuesday the pupils had lessons in the morning again and then went on the Three Bridges Cruise on the Firth of Fourth. Starting at Queensferry, the boat took them to Inchcolm Island and underneath the three Forth Bridges – the Forth Bridge (the red one that the trains go over, opened in 1890 and still going strong), the Forth Road Bridge (opened in 1964 but now only used for buses, taxis and cyclists) and its replacement, the Queensferry Crossing (opened in 2017).
It was a lovely afternoon and there was lots to see, including seals basking in the warm rays of the Scottish sun.
