3d in North Devon – Friday

Friday morning was the last time the pupils had lessons at the North Devon School of English and it was a very nice end to the academic week. There was a prize-giving ceremony for various unofficial “competitions” that the pupils had not been aware of, such as most communicative pupil outside of class etc. Oh, and of course, the secret first prize for Monday’s Barnstaple quiz was finally revealed – a week with Donald Trump at Trump Towers in New York! (The prize for second place was two weeks…) Strangely enough, the winning teams elected to have a book prize instead and are now the proud owners of some Horrible Histories paperbacks. Probably a very wise decision.

In the afternoon the pupils had free time for shopping and their host families. The final evening’s entertainment was the Air-Extreme Disco, where fun was had by all.
