On Wednesday 27th June 2d walked to the southern end of the Academy Park to take part in a wild herbs workshop. Organised by KulturGutNatur, this was an excellent introduction to the herbs that grow wild in most people’s gardens – if we let them. After learning to identify some herbs, the kids collected some and then made a delicious snack with herb butter and flat bread baked on an open fire. This was topped off with a tasty salad, again using only ingredients from the garden. All in all an excellent morning out that was much more enjoyable than most of the class were expecting!
