A great day out in Grimmenstein

On Friday 30th September the three first-year classes, 1d, 1e and 1f, spent their hiking day at Burg Grimmenstein. After taking the train from Wiener Neustadt to Editz/Grimmenstein, we walked up the steep climb through the forest to the castle gates, where we were greeted by the lord of the castle, Markus Albero Grimmenstein. On the programme for the day were a highly entertaining tour through the castle, delicious frankfurters and rolls on the terrace looking over the valley and the chance to try our hands at archery. The fantastic weather put the finishing touch on a perfect day. We even managed to fit in an ice-cream while we were waiting for the train home! What could be better?
