Welcome to the Bilingual Junior High School’s digiMEDIA page!
The digiMedia Team is a group of third and fourth-year pupils who are learning to produce podcasts, vlogs and other digital media for publication on the Internet. We currently meet every second Tuesday and are still very much at the beginning of our digital media adventure. We are currently also part of an Erasmus+ project and are collaborating with a school in Valencia, Spain and one in the Netherlands. Our Spanish counterparts visited us in January and we will be flying to Valencia in April to work with them for a week at their school. The team from the Netherlands, whom we have not yet met, will also be there with us.
Our basic idea is to build a team that can cover all aspects of digital media production, from planning through recording and editing to final publication on the web, using platforms such as YouTube and Instagram. Pupils join the group in the third year (there is a selection process, as we cannot accept unlimited numbers of pupils) and can be a part of the team for two years – basically until they leave us to move on to a higher school. Beginning with the coming school year, the fourth-year pupils will help to train the incoming third-year pupils, imparting the knowledge and expertise they have acquired up until then, while also extending their own understanding and knowledge.
