The Great Rubbish Collection Adventure

This week the second-year pupils have been involved in our annual rubbish collection activity. This means the pupils search the immediate vicinity of the school, clearing up all the things that careless people have thrown away or dropped. Needless to say, it hasn’t been difficult for them to find things. The sheer amount of waste that people leave behind, either accidentally or deliberately, is mind-boggling, and our pupils are frequently shocked by the lack of respect for our environment that many people show. We hope that this will lead to them thinking twice before they throw anything out of their car window when they are adults!

Many thanks to the pupils of 2d, 2e and 2f and the teachers who helped them – the area surrounding the BJHS is now a cleaner place!
